Located in the Ice House Lofts, my studio is on the far west side of the building on the second floor. Tall ceilings allow for the height of my looms and lots of indirect light. I have been in the studio for a little over a year and it has been such an inspiration to have ‘real estate for the creative’, as I have discovered. I’ve been a weaver and artist for many years and moving into this new space has allowed a lot of new ideas to emerge.

The studio is filled with looms and weaving materials from traditional wools and silks to recycled. A small kitchen allows for natural dyeing to be an on going creative process.

In addition to seeing a working weavers studio, I will have woven works on display, drawings, and naturally dyed silk scarves for sale. Some looms and supplies for sale too.

Weaving is a living creative process in that the slow building of the weft threads is like life; I start at the bottom, and I work my way upward and lots happens in between. It is a record of time and thought and place.
